    I just noticed my Prometheus has no data from 2 months ago, did some research:

    When to remove old data. Defaults to 15d. Overrides
    https://prometheus.io/docs/prometheus/latest/storage/

    This is bad for obvious reasons, I myself use Prometheus to analyze usage of BigBlueButton Servers / Clusters.
    And now suddenly data is missing. Why I have not noticed this earlier I don't know.

    This is configured via. starting parameters --storage.tsdb.retention.time and not via the config file.

    Giving the user the option to change this would be awesome.

    (ps: I will get my hands on this issue tomorrow.)

      @brutalbirdie this would indeed be good to allow. Strange that this is not part of the config file though.

        There is an open Issue and PR for this topic on the upstream project to make this configurable via config file as well.
