Setup with Hetzner DNS not working
-
Hello!
I am completely new to Cloudron and I would like to start with it.
I'm a hetzner Customer and so I created a new Server with Cloudron.
I'm now at the point to enter my domain and the api key.
But I always get the following message:
Domain nameservers are not set to HetznerMy domain is: XXX
The domain is from Hetzner with the basic dns settings. I checked them and it should be correct?
https://docs.hetzner.com/de/dns-console/dns/general/authoritative-name-servers
Is there any help? Thanks you!

We do test the nameservers according to https://docs.hetzner.com/dns-console/dns/general/dns-overview/#the-hetzner-online-name-servers-are
So we only support domains managed by Hetzner Robot, not konsoleH it seems. Not sure what the main difference is and i konsoleH managed domains even have an API to automate.
In your case you have to use
manualorwildcardDNS provider for the moment. -

Thanks for your quick reply.
I bought the domain last week at hetzner only for use with Cloudron. Is there a way to use the Robot name server?

@Fabix Interesting, I wasn't aware there are two DNS things in Hetzner. We test by adding the domain in https://dns.hetzner.com/ .

@Fabix ah, great you sorted out it out. But can you tell me how to ended up with KonsoleH domain ? Does this happen when you buy a domain via Hetzner?
Adding a dummy domain in Robot always gives me the *.ns.hetzner.de servers.

Yes it looks like this. I bought the domain here: https://www.hetzner.com/de/domainregistration
There is already some confusion. My domain is still listed in the consoleh, but with the wrong DNS servers:
