While trying to resolve some backup issues, I wondered if it might be possible in future Cloudron release to have backup policies per app.

Some apps need backing up daily but some might only need weekly or monthly. Currently backup configuration is set globally for the instance.

It would be beneficial for my use case to establish a specific backup schedule for an app (i.e. a customers WordPress install) that is separate from the cloudrons backup schedule.

I imagine it working like this

I set up the backup for WordPress app to back up twice a day at noon and at midnight
I set the backup for WordPress app to keep the past days of backups, 1 backup from each week going back 4 weeks, and one monthly for the last three months

In cloudron I set the default backup schedule to back things up once a week, and to delete after a month.

When cloudron runs its backup schedule job
it see's that WordPress app has its own backup schedule and follows that apps backup schedule and preference for that WordPress apps.
All over apps with no established backup plan will follow the cloudron backup schedule settings.
