At least here I can't reproduce the issue on a fresh install. Works fine on Firefox and chrome. So maybe check the browser and app logs for any warnings and errors.

I had the same issue for a long time and gave up. I now use Jellyfin also for ebooks, all media now in one place

Check site settings or default security settings of your browser if its auto clear cache or not allowing to save data for website you can face this problem

I can actually reproduce this with Cloudflare. I guess some bug with Cloudflare proxying ? Or maybe we should report this quirk upstream to see if they have any hints...
