@girish Is this still on the to-do list? I really want to automate my DNS and my domains are due for a renewal next month so it's a good time to move them if I have to. Thoughts? Thx.

@humptydumpty Cloudflare is free for DNS and works just fine.

@humptydumpty It's not part of our 7.1 release atleast which we expect to release next week. We have to look into how common it is to use this DNS provider before implementing it. Currently, this feature request has only 2 votes...

@girish 4 if you count me:) I agree with @humptydumpty and @marcusquinn . I have experienced many years of flawless service and support. They were recently purchased by DigiCert, but I have not noticed any changes since then. Hoping that continues.

@girish I switched from DNSME a while back. Been using Bunny lately (thanks for adding it!). I was on a grandfathered plan when I was with DNSME. It looks like they changed their pricing structure (for the second time) after being acquired by Digicert.

Sometimes a paid service is better for support and we do get the odd issues with Cloudflare free, and the Pro & Business pricing is a bit much in comparison.
DNS Made Easy is a well-ranked specialist. Paid. Yes. Supported. Yes.

I mean, I just use Gandi and with Cloudron automating all the DNS settings using the Gandi API (or any of the other DNS providers that Cloudron automates everything with), what support do you actually need?

@jdaviescoates Atleast for large orgs, it's helpful to call someone if DNS propagation is not happening soon enough. Or have someone call you if your domain expires and nobody in your org noticed - a surprisingly common issue! even google's domain expired at one point and got bought by someone else. I am guessing this is what they mean by 'support' .

I attended one of DNSME's webinars, and they went over DNS failover. Most of it went over my head so fast I ended up with a buzzcut, but one thing was clear, DNSME is no ordinary DNS provider. They offer some really advanced features like failover, load balancing, traffic redirection, etc. and I really wish that's something I could make use of on Cloudron. It's definitely an overkill, but it's a move in the right direction.
