Cloudron VPS shut down
-
Hi there,
I am used to getting timeout alerts from Uptime Kuma from time to time. When this happens, the Cloudron interface is usually unresponsive, but the apps still work. I typically wait a while, if it doesn't resolve itself, restart box always worked.
Today was different: I noticed that all apps have stopped, too. So I went to my VPS provider to check the status. It showed that the VPS was stopped. I just hit "start" and everything was fine again after a minute. However, I had no idea why the system shut down. And I don't know where to start my investigation. Do you have any advice?

Have you setup other software other than Cloudron ? You can also check if there was some recent unattended upgrade in the logs -
/var/log/unattended-upgrades/

@nichu42 If the VPS itself was stopped, there is a chance that the issue is not with Cloudron. Cloudron is just a service and container(s) that are installed on top of the OS you chose for the VPS. If your VPS provider allows, I'd open a support request with them for investigation as to why your VPS was shutdown (crashed or otherwise)

That's a good idea by @murgero . VPS also have their eventlog (I know Digital Ocean does)
