It's like having a personal assistant for your customer relationships! One of the things I love about Sugar is how easy it is to use.

When you say 'source code all websites', maybe you mean WordPress and LAMP websites? If so, ignore this comment. But source code of all cloudron packages and the final built images is all public - https://hub.docker.com/u/cloudron . you don't even need server credentials or install Cloudron for that matter to see the source code of apps.

For WP/Lamp, I consider the websites themselves as "data" and "configuration" and not "source code".

@eddowding the closest is the RSS feed in the announcement category https://forum.cloudron.io/category/1/announcements . You can watch that category.

    @mpapamichalis
Have you tried upstream already? They have the knowledge to solve this quickly and are really helpfull in many ways to support you with setting it up.

It's not that i don't want to help you out, but this forum is not related to Netbird in any way.

Peertube seems to have a guide at https://docs.joinpeertube.org/maintain/migration which involves db based migration, so you have to try it out.

@jagan from a quick reading, this doesn't apply to Cloudron, since we don't use fpm for WordPress (we use modphp)

Yes, a username is mandatory requirement. My idea did not get through, let me try again please.
On some platforms, the email and the username are automatically set to be the same.
This is not ideal, although the email would be unique.

However for cloudron, please consider this:
On Cloudron, the system already generates a 'From Email' on its own.
I wish to propose that this email or the first part of it (before @) be used as the username.

    Mail FROM Address
    7ef27f4c-4c24-4544-a669-4b95371552ca-image.png

Anything but 'admin' would be great.

@LoudLemur are you using a VPN? I noticed it causes issues for me too while on mobile mostly. Seems to work fine on desktop.

Unless mistaken, this was already mentioned here
    See @girish response:

we have introduced a new environment variable (just last week) in next release - https://git.cloudron.io/cloudron/box/-/commit/daa8a60da282fc3c8bbccd4b2b1a4920c2b06812 . After the release, we have to adjust the apps to use the text in the environment variable. And then, Branding view will set that variable.

So it seems, it is coming.

@humptydumpty the main pitfall is that it cannot be reached from IPv4 only networks. There are still many networks out there like cafes, public wifis etc which are IPv4 only.

Quick update to let you know that further testing resulted in some tweaks (will update main post soon) and that sadly email and anything needing different ports still does not work even through the magic of Tailscale 😕

TL;DR: Yes, you absolutely can run Cloudron through Tailscale (and plain-ol Wireguard too); No, it's not perfect and things that need different ports to 443 will likely not work without additional iptables tweaks if at all

Sure @timconsidine I'm planning on keeping the Kimsufi server as my main backup, but I need to reinstall the OS totally, thus losing everything. So, on the off-chance that something happens to my Cloudron during these few days while I get this done, I've used the Servarica server (which already had my 2nd Cloudron install) as my interim backup, using the Cloudron Minio app. But, I'm trying to keep the Servarica server strictly for media (thus the Nextcloud install), and as we all know, Cloudron backups, especially things like Mastodon, add up quickly, so this is a one-and-done backup to that Minio. I'll keep it for a week or so until there is a safe amount of backup on the reinstalled Kimsufi server.

In the next day or two I'll reinstall to Ubuntu 22 on my current main backup, install Cloudron (since I'm not using the current CapRover for anything other than its Minio), then Minio, and resume using it as my main backup destination.

@girish Yes but many hosting providers have port 25 unblocked. And although you no longer have full local custody of your setup, at least you still have full custody of your apps and data. I don't mind creating a DO Droplet just to forward traffic to home. I just need to learn how. Information out there is lacking.
