The checkbox is a temporary workaround. The upstream pgevectors extension will be making a release in the coming weeks which will make that checkbox redundant. https://github.com/tensorchord/pgvecto.rs/issues/253 is the upstream issue.

Can confirm that the update to Immich v1.91.4 is going well.

If you are running Immich, just think about how much work and time and effort Cloudron has saved us by supporting this application. No headaches. Just one-click.

Thank you so much for Cloudron!

@jdaviescoates said in Immich, Side-by-Side Comparison, and Voting?:

I wouldn't have put this in the Immich category because it hasn't really got anything to do with that app.

    Closest I've found is https://pollunit.com/en/tutorials/vote_for_images

You could probably create something similar using LimeSurvey but not in a nice automated way like you are looking for.

There used to be this fun app in Nextcloud (which also wasn't really what you're looking for, but similar-ish) but it hasn't been updated for 4 years

That is very kind of you and thanks for looking. I didn't think of LimeSurvey in this instance, but as you suggest, it is a bit overkill for what I have in mind.

There is a tool to accomplish this task in DigiKam, but it is quite a large program too, and more for personal use than for displaying to hordes of people, though there are options for rating images.

That PollUnit is a cool suggestion.

I try the commands to create a volume,

    what commands? where?

Thank you @jdaviescoates , you magic man! Thank you too, @nebulon for finding the time to look at my post.

As usual, Cloudron already had all the information I needed there.

My difficulty came from reading the output of the blkid command:

    blkid

You are returned a UUID result along with a PARTUUID result, and I copy/pasted the wrong one.

@nebulon said in Immich takes a very long time to be ready on first run:

I somehow can't reproduce any such slow initial startup behavior.

Immich started working eventually. I just needed to wait. The delay might have been because I had uninistalled an instance of Immich just previously and was re-installing. Alternatively, the process might have been interrupted by my increasing the RAM allocation when it was about to start, and had to go back to square one.

    Anyway, it is going now.
