It has been 10 minutes and it is still not available, though the application says it is running. Eventually, it appeared. I think there should be some comment made on the (always very useful) "first run" section indicating that Immich will take 10 minutes to get going after its first installation.

Might this be due to limited resources? It already starts with a generous 1.9GB of RAM by default.

I somehow can't reproduce any such slow initial startup behavior.

Any log output? Maybe DNS? Is your hamster fed and running as expected?

Does it take time before or after it says "Running" in the dashboard?

Cannot reproduce. App downloads and installs withing a minute and initial start takes less then 10 seconds. Stoping and restarting the app does not change this behaviour.

Do you have enough local resources available? Maybe your server had to swap to free up memory or something out of the ordinary?

The dashboard said "running", but if I visited the page, it was not available. I just needed to be more patient and it got going after a while.

Immich started working eventually. I just needed to wait. The delay might have been because I had uninistalled an instance of Immich just previously and was re-installing. Alternatively, the process might have been interrupted by my increasing the RAM allocation when it was about to start, and had to go back to square one.

                Anyway, it is going now.
