    Hello,

I have nightly backups going for my Cloudron instance to my File Server. I am noticing that too often or not, my backups are failing with Error 599 Timed Out. I have checked the logs for the error and it is stalling at 67.66666667% of the backup complete. I have checked my firewall logs and it is not blocking it, and both servers are on the same VLAN. Need help since a few of the apps are important, especially SNIP IT, which is the one all that is timing out all the time on the Backup process.

Please note, I have dont a backup from SNIP IT directly from his own settings and that works fine with no issues. It is only during the Backup Process for the whole Cloudron instance.

For me this was happening on uptimekuma and i believe due to soze of data of logs for me 2 methods use to work.

        1. Delete logs inside uptime kuma but this was temporary and after few days it happens agains.
        2. Permanent solution i skipped backup of that specifi app and no problems since then

Yeah, there is a bug that triggers in some apps where files appear/disappear a lot. For example, log files of apps. I am not sure why this happens and we haven't managed to reliably reproduce this. Just disable automatic backups of that specific app for the moment so that rest of the Cloudron can backup.

@girish do you know if this is being investigated and a patch will be sent out to fix?

I had this for a while, with an instance of PeerTube, I think. But then the problem went away.

Edit: nope, it was The Lounge, and possibly it went away because of this.

I use Cloudron with Gandi & Hetzner
