Any plans to update to 14 on the repo?

I opened an issue a couple of weeks ago. Commits to the repo suggest it’s being worked on.

I think @nebulon tried to update already but there are some blocking issues in nc 14 for the update to happen. He probably has more information.

Yeah there is still an ongoing issue with initial ldap login of a user, where the server throws a 500 response. After that things work normal. While not being very important I think, given that it works afterwards, it still gives quite a bad first time experience. Once that is fixed we will release it.

Is it possible to update Nextcloud at least for existing installations as the issue seems to affect only "new" installations after the first login? Or - alternatively - offer an option to manually upgrade?

Nextcloud is heading to 15 now (beta 1 just released), and the 14 versions included a lot of security fixes as well that we don't benefit from currently.

While I also would like to see a nextcloud update, this is a non-argument. Nextcloud is doing maintenance releases and all security related bugfixes are backported.

We just pushed 13.0.7 update.

I think we have to wait for the nextcloud team to get back on the bug report (I have attached a backtrace as well in the bug report which should make it easy to spot what the issue is).

Bug is still open even though 15.0.0 is out today...

We have released Nextcloud 14 now with the upstream pending pull request. It fixes our issue. For Nextcloud 15 we will give it some more time to settle, to iron out initial bugs.
