On a IPFS related note: IPFS based backups would be interesting. Pinning services are emerging, https://www.eternum.io/ for example. Storage is quite cheap.

@yusf IPFS pinning assisted by Cloudron would be a great way to decentralize file storage. Using a proprietary pinning service is convenient but costly, if you have large files. The biggest issue with it is that it effectively centralizes storage into a cartel of Big Data companies.
If people were easily able to pin content they liked (like videos, images, memes, music, etc) we could dump Big Data corporations and rely on ourselves instead.

One of the biggest issues with centralised/hosted storage is how it facilitates censorship. And conversely how decentralised systems make censorship a lot harder to achieve.
