One way LibreTime is better is it has a sort of schedule tool for the audience. I would prefer LibreTime over Azuracast.

A few points here:
I am the IT person (or tech admin) for a non for profit organisation, and I use cloudron for almost ALL of the services we need on one big server. But I need 2 separate servers to operate the IPTV (Internet TV) and online radio.
I am currently testing Azura Cast on a test server, and I will be putting this onto an active server, slashing the cost of running a properitary license for a radio control panel.
This should go on cloudron, and it is easy to configure. Unlike LibreTime, where you need to configure a YAML file, which wont work on here, as the system is locked. As well as, it won't have the capability of live DJs using the program.
And if you are just using this for talk radio, and playing royalty free music, AC would be the way to go.

I have used Azuracast and enjoyed the experience. I actually wanted to use LibreTime for its scheduling, but Azuracast was very good. One of the cool features of AC is it allows a DJ to just point their browser at a website, login and they can (if permissions have been granted) jump right in to live broadcasting right there.
Another cool feature is support for HLS https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HTTP_Live_Streaming
and also opus.
There are some powerful tools for scheduling. I really hope Azuracast is available on Cloudron. Till then, there are some sites like Vultr which offer one-click deployment, but you need a dedicated VPS for that.

Maybe one for @Kubernetes
-
I hope Cloudron can host this. It would be brilliant. Maybe @Kubernetes will have a look. I hope so!

We started on this already at https://git.cloudron.io/cloudron/azuracast-app but @vladimir-d hit some issue. Trying to remember what that was.

Hello, @vladimir-d What needs to happen with Azuracast?

we will try to package it.
excellent! It'll be great to have a web radio app on Cloudron!

@girish this is some great news! I have now used this for a year on a ARM based server and just transferred some of my stations on a x64 server. And here is my final opinion:
AC has everything a station or network needs to host and broadcast programs and songs. The auto DJ is brilliant and the automation and scheduling services are BETTER than CentovaCast and windows radio players!
Here is my positives:
ShoutCast (only on x64 CPUs, ARM not supported, plugin and a basic (free) account is required)Liquidsoap, which is basically in all open source apps.
GeoIP capable, needs license from MindMax (Free)
Negatives
Some plugins like StereoMax need a paid license to use it.
Rolling release means regular updates and rebooting, especially if using Ubuntu Pro kernels.I am very happy that this will be on cloudron, and now I can prepare a deletion of one server and use a x64 server, as the shoutcast part of this is great!

We have a working package for Azuracast . But Azuracast only supports Mariadb at this point and does not support MySQL. We have opened a discussion thread upstream at https://github.com/AzuraCast/AzuraCast/issues/7114 . Depending on what they say, we may or may not be able to support Azuracast.

Could we put this into the beta testing of the application store?

Sounds like it's all go!

We are trying to get it off their master branch now. Looks like they use php-fpm now instead of roadrunner, so some more changes needed before we can publish it as unstable. But the hard work is done, so we should get there shortly. Looking forward to our public radio stations
