Unable to configure the RSS-bot
-
Looks like it is not possible to configure the RSS-bot. Has anybody else tested it?
-
By ”the RSS bot” I assume you mean the default one provided through Matrix.org’s integration manager?
- What happens when you open the manager?
- How far can you get?
- What platform are you on?

Hey everyone,
thanks for your help.
@yusf Exactly, I am trying to use this integration. When I navigate to it and try to configure it (paste a rss-feed in the url field and click "subscribe") nothing happens. I have tried it in the riot web-app (hosted on cloudron) and on iOS. -
I just tested it now, it seems the first time one's click "subscribe" nothing happens, but if you hit the button another time, it does work :

It seems the integration is in place :

but then I updated my blog and I'm still waiting for the new post to land in my matrix room
after a while nothing happens, wondering how to get more debug logs about this, I see nothing happening either in the matrix or element app... -
RSS bots typically polls every 15, 30 or 60 minutes, or daily.
Default integrations are not a good experience at all currently. I can recommend maubot for RSS integration.

@benborges If you mean the Maubots then it just means another user from the Synapse point of view, so you may host Maubot anywhere.
