Dashboard: Customize buttons on the sides of apps

How about a Grid view of My Apps for users and a List view for Admins with more room for shortcut icons?

I think it's a good idea.
Users need to have access to the info button where they can see the initial setup instructions (first time login credentials) and the admin button (/ wp-admin /) for the wordpress example.
At least, those two buttons should be mandatory and be by default in all apps. Or at least the power to configure them to appear. It is the most important information to get started and is only available to administrators.

Talking about the Dashboard design, I use my iPad Pro a lot when not at my desk. This gives the same behavior as before with a smartphone, meaning: you don’t see the blue-buttons, only when you touch the tile ... but then you go to the front UI of the app. Also the blue-buttons are too small for touch.
For the smartphone it was solved with bigger blue-buttons and always visible. @nebulon is it possible to do that for tablets like iPads also?

Nah, I'm like @Lonk, I don't think I've ever wanted nor needed to click on the info button, but I would like the Web Terminal to be included there

@jdaviescoates It is possible that you are an advanced user and also do not want to set up a server to give access to other people who are users without much knowledge. I think you have created the server just for you, right?.
When you install an app like superadmin, you can see all the side icons in each app and you don't need to know for example that an access to the wordpress backend is in /wp-admin/.
A simple user needs to know what are the first-time accesses and what is the backoffice URL where to enter them.
Wold be good at least to hane the possibility of being able to configure those buttons (whoever wants them) when we give access to simple users who do not know how everything works.

No.
It's just that none of my users do first time set-up stuff, I always do that. And I do it right after install and hence never have any reason to look info again.

This has an unfortunate side effect of pushing the "Admin Button" off of the square on mobile. So I wonder if both of these things could be addressed at once.

I feel like this deserves it's own feature request thread.
I like it as it mirrors fairly standard desktop file manager options to swap between icon and list views. And list view could display lots more details like in file browsers too.
