I'm about to migrate a Cloudron from Linode to a home server. Linode is running Ubuntu 18.04 LTS with Cloudron 5.6.3.

I just installed Ubuntu 20.04 LTS on my new home server.

Do I need to wipe the home server and start over with Ubuntu 18.04? Or is there a way to do this migration that also includes using Cloudron 6.0 on Ubuntu 20.04?

    Thanks.

@shai yes, right now it would be advisable to keep everything the same version.

@shai I recommend updating to Cloudron 6 and then migrating over. You can go to Updates -> Check For Updates and you should have the update. It will say the release is unstable, but you can go ahead and install it.

@girish I successfully migrated my Cloudron from one server to another. I followed your directions and updated Cloudron to v 6.0.0 before making my final backup of the old server.

          Thank you.
