        That's the one thing missing for me to adopt Scuttlebutt as my social network.

        It's not practical to rely on meeting people physically only to get updates about other nowadays, especially when you have friends and family spread all over the world like me.

            @ruihildt it used to be more strict, but now I think the invite codes can be shared more easily digitally and out of band to get those connections started.

            But there is some learning curve preparing for offline in an increasingly online world.

            Still I think we need to, as it was clearly a need a day ago when the ISP decided to cut off access for evening maintenance for several hours.
