I want to get my rocket.chat app to work with the cloudrons built-in STUN and TURN/coTURN server. I see nextcloud has access to it, but nextcloud uses a secret and I do not see how to translate that to rocket.chat.

Anyone have any guidance and advice to accomplish this?

@privsec Ideally, the rocket.chat package should have automatically pre-populated the server's stun and turn. I will look into fixing this.

@girish great! Thank you! Will these then now allow for webRTC calls?

@privsec In theory, it should - lots of other moving parts there, but definitely give it a try post-update and report back your findings!

Odd thing about rocket chat is enabling webRTC doesnt seem to do anything... no video chat options appear.

@atrilahiji You have to enable all the options in the WebRTC settings. Then one call button appears in the top right.

@atrilahiji I take that back. That video icon appears only if you enable jitsi it seems. I have no idea how to make webrtc calling work. There is something under '+' (i.e in the edit box where we type in messages, in the right side) called video message but that does nothing.

edit: it says it's a WIP - https://docs.rocket.chat/guides/administrator-guides/setting-up-video-conferencing#rocket-chat-meet-powered-by-webrtc . I read that as "not working".

@girish Yeah that was my takeaway as well. Hopefully it is polished soon on their end.
