@girish Owncast suggestion https://forum.cloudron.io/post/22108 inspired me to try to install it in a LAMP app as it looks pretty promising and simple ... however I stumbled into the following issues:

    1. LAMP still has a very old version of ffmpeg (version 3.4.8) where 4.1.5 or above is needed
    2. I hoped the LAMP app had the new port settings like the AdGuard app but it hasn't, so opening port 1935 is not possible

So now waiting for more upvotes for Owncast as it could be the first live streaming app on Cloudron 🙂

Sometime next year we will move to a newer base image based on Ubuntu 20. The ffmpeg should be sorted out with that. As for exposing extra ports, that's not possible now since it has to come from the manifest. I guess you can always make your own build of the LAMP app which fixes your problems. Though as I am writing that, I realize this is the same as creating an owncast package 🙂

@girish What is the latest on support for Owncast, the video streaming platform?

        Shall I create an AppWish?
