Identity Server for Matrix?

Correct me if I am wrong but I think the Identity server is just a lookup service for contacts and lends itself to centralization for discovery purposes.
I guess https://github.com/matrix-org/sydent is the reference implementation but we don't have it on Cloudron yet.

Getting fed up of having to scroll through the same posts each visit?
