I guess lots of people use caprover. I thought I'd try it out because I like fiddling with things. So, I installed. It worked fine. At first. Then, one morning, it wouldn't load. Just a mysterious error message on the Dashboard, "Something bad happened". So, a lengthy dive into the incomprehensible world of troubleshooting Docker began. There's no real answer. So many others with slight variations of what might be my problem. No real authoritative source of Help. Just, try this, try that. Many searchers end up reinstalling everything. I considered the same. Then I wondered when my caprover install would suddenly crap out again, and I'd lose my work. Again. So forget it. No more caprover.

You know what hasn't crapped out? Cloudron. I don't know how the Team does it, but keeping everything working is so worth the Subscription.

Cloudron for the win. Cloudron to the moon. Cloudron rules.

Caprover is fine for testing various apps, experimenting and whatnot.
For mission critical operations, nothing comes close to Cloudron.

I have a caprover too since it has Odoo. But I have to reboot it every other day, since it just stops working randomly without any error message.

I look to the day I can run Odoo on Cloudron.

@scooke my caprover generally is stable and works, but there are some 1-click apps which don't install well.

I added portainer to my caprover box which helps a bit to manage it.

I 💯% agree that Cloudron is rock-solid and my preferred deployment.

Another similar effort is FLAP. Seeing as it's just one person, I think, running it, it's pretty impressive. There are still updates to its repository. He is open to direct feedback. Its GUI is not as polished as Cloudron, but I like it a bit more than the sparseness of Yunohost.
