As I have mentioned before I am not hyper technical when it comes to development and whatnot so just let me know if it isn't feasible.

That being said... With N8N being added I was curious if there were any plans for Cloudron to tie into it. As I'm sure you have all seen there are plenty of things that Cloudron has as an app that it already ties into but nothing in the way of Cloudron itself (unless I am missing something obvious). For instance it would be cool if everytime a backup or update happened (or was available) I could pull that from Cloudron via N8N and then make a workflow to dump that into Matrix or something.

It just seems like there could be a lot of missed opportunities here. Or I am just missing something myself haha...

@ericdrgn I'm not very technical either, but I'm pretty sure Cloudron has a pretty decent API and so something like you suggest ought to be possible.

I know @thetomester13 has been playing around with N8N a bit so he may have some further insight? 🙂

I use Cloudron with Gandi & Hetzner

@ericdrgn in terms of analytics, I've frewutnly wondered whether prometheus and grafana (already long standing apps here) could monitor Cloudron.
But both those apps confuse the hell out of me.
I'm sure they're great tools, but a tutorial / guided steup is sorely missing .... or a RAM upgrade in my brain.

@timconsidine Grafana is for displaying values, Prometheus is for querying and storing data.
Prometheus data can be displayed in Grafana.

For example I monitor BigBlueButton via Prometheus and display these values via Grafana.

@jdaviescoates Yeah I did actually look into that before my post and I don't know if I am just missing some pieces (of understanding) or what but it didn't look like I could do what I mentioned above. And either way it would still be cool if they were actually in there as a part of the n8n ecosystem as opposed to manually adding their APIs in.

Of course I know work goes into that but since they added n8n I was kinda hoping one of the cloudron devs had already thought along the same lines as me before I run up a wall failing to do it in an elegant way myself 🙂

If someone figures out a working example of this and posts it here, it will inspire others to do more with N8N.

Lots of cool examples on their forum too.
