      Hello Everyone,

      i am looking for the Synapse config file, which should look like this:

      https://github.com/matrix-org/synapse/blob/develop/docs/sample_config.yaml

      or alternatively for this config option:

      https://github.com/matrix-org/synapse/blob/34a5696f9338f1a1ec52203e3871a797a02138a9/synapse/config/registration.py#L297

      Not the Matrix homeserver.yaml . . .

      Thanks in advance.

        @nile said in Synapse Config:

        The homeserver.yaml is the config file, unless I missed something. The comment on top of the sample_config does say # This file is maintained as an up-to-date snapshot of the default # homeserver.yaml configuration generated by Synapse.

        On Cloudron, it's at /app/data/configs/homeserver.yaml. See https://docs.cloudron.io/apps/synapse/#customizations

          Welp . . .

          in that case motion to leave the configuration comments from sample config inside the cloudron config for ease of use and configuration.

            @nile Mmm, probably... I guess that config file was so big (~3000 lines) that it was easy for us (the packagers) to keep it minimal.

              @girish yeah no worries, though i was just lokking for the option to enable phone number registration, and could not for the life of me find any kind of resemblance from the sample file to the actual config file, even less where i should add the needed line inside the config, same with the tls config options
