    It should generate a message or something telling me that _ is not allowed in usernames (I'm presuming that is the case and hence why it didn't work?)

    I use Cloudron with Gandi & Hetzner

      Right, _ is not allowed. Some apps like openvpn rely on usernames not having underscores. There's probably others as well.

      Where are you seeing this error? I tried this now and see a message:

        Oh, looks like @nebulon fixed this in https://git.cloudron.io/cloudron/dashboard/-/commit/48056d1e8f4c5df8116c58d5b50555471221e811 . So, it's fixed in next release.
