Matomo lost permissions

Hi guys, not sure what has happened with the matomo install. However it seems my login is now showing as no permissions set....

It asks me to email the administrator - however that was the super user account!

@kyleh2946 did I understand correctly that you can login but the screen shows you have no permissions ? i.e authentication worked but authorization failed? A screenshot or equivalent would help me understand better.
