      6be38e2f-c073-4c06-b20d-fbc2e8f0929a-image.png
Now got this, and this for about 15 minutes
what could be wrong, and are the right steps to do for this,

      Steps i want to take

      • migrate to other VPS server with Mastodon APP proper set for usermangement from mastodon
        -backup accounts to new server

      regards
      Eric

Are you using an automated DNS backend? Can you check if you dashboard domain (my.<your domain>) is pointing to the correct IP address in your nameserver settings?

Let DNS time to propagate. 15 minutes is nothing ^^ Have you set a low TTL? Maybe flush (DNS) caches and/or try from another device.

@subven Think I got wrong. I currently have a working Mastodon on a vps. I have now found a faster vps and this also fits the problem I am experiencing now. https://forum.cloudron.io/topic/8071/change-cloudron-user-management-to-mastodon-app-user-management-on-existed-app/8?_=1669750284276
So I actually want to set up a shadow app with the correct settings, and then restore backup of parts as @itbeard described.
am I going the right way? Or does it work differently, and can someone point me in the right path.

@redegelde what you want to do in the end (migrating Mastodon) does not matter here. Your problem right now seems to be that your DNS settings for the domain you want to use with Cloudron do not match and therefore you can't continue the installation of your new server. Please take a look at the setup UI or the docs and answer the question from above. Otherwise we can't help you.

@redegelde Cloudron needs various DNS entries not just an A record for my.domain.com. Please finish the (manual) DNS setup and your problems will mostly be gone. Let's Encrypt (for SSL certs) requires your server to be reachable on port 80 so this could be another reason. Hope you did not fiddle around with the OS before installing Cloudron.

@subven thank, wil do that. The fiddle was after installing Cloudron.
                    But, no problem.
only thing is i dont want to break my now running Mastodon instance.
What is/are the good workaround to move from one to other vps

Main reason is the wrong user settings(cloudron app instead of mastodon)
                    regards Eric

Cloudron tells you not to do so in the banner if you login over SSH after installation ^^ Everything you can do or change is documentated in the docs.

The easiest way for a fresh installation is setting up a new VPS with Cloudron and restore from a recent backup during setup.

For migrating Mastodons user management I can't give you any advice but there are various topics regarding this if you look through the Cloudron forum.
