On Cloudron one should use the SMTP settings which the app is preconfigured with, or also if other WordPress plugins are used, you can find the SMTP credentials in the app's shell environment. For this open the webterminal and run
env.So basically
sendmailis not installed and also the phpmail()is not configured and thus not working. -
