I need desperately help to get cloudron installed please help

Hey
I am tryn to install cloudron on ubuntu 18.04
The first time the installation failed and i had to delete ubunte and re install it.
The second try to install cloudron seemed finish i got the url at the end in the terminal and the message to reboot.
I copied the url and did a reboot.
In the tutorial i watch there it says i have to port forward a port on my router.
I have a fritz.box router and there i tried to give my ubuntu server the permission to open ports by it self but this did not work i cant acces the url that stand in the terminal.
I tried to give the single port 443 free but this also did not work.
What do i do wrong ?
I need help please

@Customlegends Is your ubuntu server a VM or is it bare metal ? As a first step, are you able to access https://<internal-ip-of-your-ubuntu> ? If that doesn't work, I would start debugging from there. Maybe you need to open up ports in your hypervisor?

okay this worked i tried like you said to reach the server with his normal ip adress and now i can see the page where it says put the domain name here.
But if i try to reach it over the url that was in the terminal it cant acces the page.

So for my understanding cloudron is up and running but my router makes the problem.
or somewhere else what could i do to open everthing ?
For your understanding i have Ubuntu 18.04 with desktop ui installed with minimalistic enviroment
want to build a Server that works for me as a SRT SLT Relay and NAS station
i want it to be accesable all over the worl with nothing more then a web browser so i follow a youtube video to install gucamole

that's correct. So, it means that Cloudron is installed properly and the port is accessible from the VM. But there is some issue with the router not port forwarding properly.

I don't own a fritz box but maybe if you post some screenshot or equivalent of what you configured there , maybe someone can help.

i dont know what i am doing i trie to give the port free but nothing works for a secong it worked with a different ip adress and then again no i have no clue and idea what i am doing i need help can we hav a call over discord ?

I cant enter the website with the Ip adress that cloudron gave me in the Terminal.

My Router gave me a different ip adress while port forwarding that i can reach over my local network but not from the internet on my Phone i need help please

i dont know man i kinda manage it some how now i am in the Cloudron Dashboard jesus took mee 13/14 ours now

@Customlegends it sounds like you hit two problems, dns propagation and closed ports. In your router, assign a fixed ip to your Cloudron server and then open the needed ports for that ip. If you have ipv6, do the same for it too in the router and then hop to your cloudron dashboard and go to network and enable ipv6 checkbox. It seems daunting when things fail but that’s all there is to it. As for dns propagation, patience young grasshopper..

@Customlegends Do you have a static or dynamic IP? Did you configure dynamic IP in Cloudron: https://docs.cloudron.io/networking/#dynamic-dns?

@Customlegends no need to spam, it is the weekend and you're on a public forum. You could start by going over your setup again and tell us at which part it failed or if your setup is even supported (if you installed the desktop bits on your Ubuntu Server, you might already have made it incompatible with Cloudron).

Did you install it with your public IP or over LAN? Where are the A records of your domain pointing to? Doublecheck your settings and collect the vital data so it can be analyzed and discussed, I doubt anyone would jump on Discord to give support.

i dont understand why you guys wont help i ran in too many problem i made it to ofter again i try it over the 10th time now from beginning and it dont work i need help over discord and a call a guy that sits together with me and goes every step from the beginning to the end in a call not comments i dont understand what you speak of a call where you explain me step for step what you mean

no i am tryn it again and i get this error : message: A record with the same settings already exists. statusCode: 400 code:81058
what do i wrong i do not understand please help

@Customlegends if you are in the initial dashboard DNS setup step, then try to first delete the my.yourdomain.com A record with your nameserver provider. Otherwise, please give more information where exactly you are stuck.
