I see the following disk usage at my system info page:

• docker 35.17 GB
• platformdata 16.53 GB
• docker-volumes 5.75 GB

That is around 56 GB of disk usage for...I don't know yet. That's what I wanted to find out!

I assume that docke-volumes is where personal data from me is stored,

and docker might be docker images that have been downloaded to the server and are stored locally, thus not being uniquely on my machine and can be re-downloaded from the Internet.

Am I right with those guesses?
What about platformdata?

I was right on this one. I downloaded all the files that are present on the Nextcloud, deleted all the servers on the web interface and then re-synced from my computer. The ghost files are gone, it is now using around the 33 GB as I would have expected it.

Nextcloud is great tool, but sometimes does weird things. This is one example of being weird.

The issue is resolved for now, thanks for your ideas on it.

Thanks for the information, I will wait for one day for all the DNS changes to take place and then try again.

This also didn't help. Recreating the index for all users also doesn't bring any change in the calculated used space.

I am running the following setup:

• Cloudron v8.2.4
• Nextcloud package com.nextcloud.cloudronapp@4.23.4

There are a few users in Nextcloud, using 33 GB in total storage if you add up the usage that is shown at //settings/users

When I open up Cloudron system information and let it calculate the disk usage, it shows me that Nextcloud is using 177.08 GB of storage on the Cloudron server.

When running

sudo -u www-data php -f /app/code/occ files:scan jay

I get the following output:

Thanks for clarification. This works, but doesn't solve the problem that I cannot add new domains to Cloudron with the error

queryNs ESERVFAIL example.com

Any idea on that?

Hi,

I cannot change the DNS Server settings in my domain settings for a domain, because Cloudron says:

queryNs ESERVFAIL example.com

When trying on the terminal as stated here:

@SignalScout On the server, please try host -t NS example.com 127.0.0.1 . Does that work? Sometimes, it takes a bit for the NS of a new domain to propagate. One just has to wait it out.

As @andreasdueren suggested, use sshfs when possible with hetzner storage box. The remote copy is pretty much instantaneous because the code sshs into the server and executes a copy command.

What would the exact configuration look like?
Can you share yours?

I have the same problem with adding a "two-words.com" domain to my Cloudron; the DNS zone is with Hetzner DNS, but it's not empty as some services need to run on another server for a few months.

I cannot add the domain to Cloudron, the Hetzner API is fresh and fine (works to manage with other domains in the same account).

Adding "two-words.com" to the DNS zone file name doesn't solve the issue on my end. What can I do?

Just out of interest: in which places is the profile picture set in Cloudron used in other applications?

This happens on a fresh install, both on the newest Cloudron and Mastodon version available, but also a few weeks ago when I opened this thread.

Although I haven't applied the step described by @g66lol, I was able to log in after a few days. I don't know if this is reproducable.
