Hi,
I would like to know if any German speaking people want to create a Cloudron meet up somewhere in Germany?
Let's see if people are interested and if we can aggree on a city / region, so I would take care of organizing

Hi,
I would like to translate Cloudron with a Danish
language package and making it more accessible for people not speaking English or German.
I would like to know if there are people that are:
Please let me know!

I am using their cloud-hosted version of Meilisearch for my FreeScout instance and therefore wish to have this included in my Cloudron.
I can only agree with the previous speaker. I would be very happy about an implementation. For me it is not foreseeable how much effort it can be.
Translations have been updated for Cloudron v8.0.4
God fornøjelse med den nye version og de nye funktioner
Hi,
Hetzner is running a beta test for Hetzner Object Storage, an S3-compatible storage solution.
Docs: https://docs.hetzner.com/storage/object-storage/
Announcement: https://forum.hetzner.com/index.php?thread/31369-we-re-thrilled-to-announce-a-new-storage-solution-an-s3-compatible-object-storag/&postID=304604#post304604
The product is open beta, you need a Hetzner Cloud account and ask for permission to join. Hetzner Object Storage is free until the end of October 2024, thereafter billing starts as described hereı.
@nebulon @girish is there any possibility to implement this within the next 1-2 updates?
I have tried using it with the backup provider "S3 API Compatible (v4)", but it didn't work.
I am getting the error "Error listing objects. Message: null HTTP Code: NoSuchKey", therefore it is not working right now.
If needed I am happy to share some credentials for a bucket and cover the costs on Hetzner side for developing this feature.
Best
Jay

Oh that's pretty cool! I haven't come across a hosted (and apparently free?) mail migration tool. Wouldn't trust any old service for that, but OVH is a reputable company. Very neat. I'll keep that in mind for possible future migrations.
Another tool you might like that is hosted by German hosting provider Netcup GmbH is the https://mailsync.netcup.net/ website. It is both available in German and English language.
@girish is there any news on a Wireguard implementation for Cloudron?
That seems wrong. Please send a message to support@cloudron.io and the team will check.
After trying for a few days, it works perfectly fine.
I will add this to the documentation when Hetzner S3 Storage is available publicly.
@jayonrails said in 33 GB of usage, 177 GB system space occupied - how to find ghost files?:
I remember that some file uploads to the Nextcloud system failed a few months ago and I think these might be still stored somewhere, where the application cannot find it, but still take space.
I was right on this one. I downloaded all the files that are present on the Nextcloud, deleted all the servers on the web interface and then re-synced from my computer. The ghost files are gone, it is now using around the 33 GB as I would have expected it.
Nextcloud is great tool, but sometimes does weird things. This is one example of being weird.
The issue is resolved for now, thanks for your ideas on it.
@LoudLemur thanks for letting me know. I will check their roadmap and other entries on GitHub!
@girish is there any translation that you think is oudated and needs some tuning? I would be happy to check
Please also add my Danish
translation!
Danish / German translations are done
Hi,
I’d like to use some software to collaborate on documents and some notes. It should be more like a „pad“ style rather than a rich document software like Microsoft Word, Google Docs, Nextcloud Office, etc.
Which to choose? What are the benefits? Which one runs smoothly? What do you prefer?
I think I have to chose between: Ctyptpad, EtherPad, HedgeDoc

@marcusquinn works perfectly for me. Thanks for your tips!
Amazing Andreas, many thanks! Finally a good reason to learn more about how to compile packages myself and run them in the box.

Don't most modern browsers and websites use javascript?
They do, but there are some users out there who prefer do disable JavaScript on their end by default and only activate it, when needed.

Thanks for letting me know, I will try.
A full day of work, some hours with a friends who's a danish native speaker, but it was worth it
