been a while, and still on the Cloudron But more and more now not able to changer there email or password getting the the line "your are logged in external"
so i thing going to run your steps @itbeard or does Cloudron have the solution now

Just received this mail from join Mastodon.

As you may be aware, we are going to release critical security updates on July 6th, between 13:00 UTC and 15:00 UTC.

These updates will be available as 4.1.3, 4.0.5, and 3.5.9, and the fixes will also be merged into the main branch and in a Docker build tagged nightly-2023-07-06-security.

Those updates address critical security issues that were uncovered during a security audit, and we have no reason to believe have been exploited in the wild.

If your server is managed by masto.host, fedi.monster, or Spacebear, you have nothing to do, as we are already in contact with them

Hi there, is there an way, tutorial to add an S3(google ) bucket to the mastodon instance.
The instance is now running from an VPS

@itbeard pfff, hope for easy fix on running instance. It is lot of work, and with an instance with almost 800 users now tricky, dont wont to lose them

@subven thank, wil do that. The fiddle was after installing Cloudron.
But, no problem.
only thing is i dont want to break my now running Mastodon instance.
What is/are the good workaround to move from one to other vps

Main reason is the wrong user settings(cloudron app instead of mastodon)

@subven well , thank you indeed dns could be the problem, i have set the dns to my.mastodon.name to the ip adres off the vps server.

so far so good.
No i am here

And truggling with ssl on the vps server, somthing about port 80 error.

@subven Think I got wrong. I currently have a working Mastodon on a vps. I have now found a faster vps and this also fits the problem I am experiencing now. https://forum.cloudron.io/topic/8071/change-cloudron-user-management-to-mastodon-app-user-management-on-existed-app/8?_=1669750284276
So I actually want to set up a shadow app with the correct settings, and then restore backup of parts as @itbeard described.
am I going the right way? Or does it work differently, and can someone point me in the right path.

Hi, some advice
try to install on fresh new server Cloudron to migrate the mastodon app.

Now got this, and this for about 15 minutes
what could be wrong, and are the right steps to do for this,

Steps i want to take

• migrate to other VPS server with Mastodon APP proper set for usermangement from mastodon
  -backup accounts to new server
