When you start hosting 100+ apps it becomes difficult even with the tag system or by filtering by domain to see what apps are running, stopped, crashed etc..
Right now the solution is to scroll down or filter by tag/domain and make sure all apps are running smooth.
but what if we could have another filter on the side of tag/domain for the "state of the app"
Running, Stopped, Error, would be perfect, so that admins could quickly filter apps that need attention, no matter what tag or domain they are under.
Just to share that an incoming PR on the NodeBB github repo will bring ActivityPub to NodeBB "natively"

What is Indiekit?
Indiekit is a Node.js server that implements IndieWeb standards - Micropub for posting, IndieAuth for authentication, and webmentions for cross-site interactions. Think of it as a self-hosted publishing
backend that works with any Micropub client (Quill, Indigenous, iA Writer, etc.).
Architecture
nginx (port 3000) → Static files from Eleventy
→ Proxy /admin, /micropub to Indiekit (port 8080)
Eleventy (watcher) → Rebuilds site when content changes
Indiekit → Handles Micropub, auth, syndication
MongoDB → Stores sessions, statistics

Installation

Then configure /app/data/config/env.sh with your API tokens.

I have no idea what I am but I have been hosting different CMS's over the last 2 decades (for friends and clients) which lead me to gradually move from shared hosting to self-hosting.
I learned a lot in the process and sometimes around 2016 launched a very little digital/tech consulting project with @ruihildt and it's in this context that we went full Cloudron not just to host clients needs but also some friends and personal needs/wants, it has been an even more interesting ride ever since !
Since Covid-19 I'm at a crossroad, there has never been so much need for coaching, teaching and pivoting people into digital solutions and entrepreneurship, I'm divided between this or learning to code towards working as backend devop, so I'm using this second lockdown to figure out my next steps
The more I read about FireHol the more I wish this was backed into cloudron install directly, it seems to me that Firehol is a great source to rely for blocking bad IP's
This is the second app I'm going to have a try at packaging..I think I have read enough doc to be able to do it..
I was a big fan of Yunohost (still am for personal use) and with @ruihildt we were looking for a more stable/professional approach to self hosting, the moment my friend Rui found cloudron I was instantly interested, we launched a pro-bono consulting non-profit business based on cloudron for little organisations & non profits (we still run it) and since then I have moved 2 decades of web presence, different domains, different needs back to our cloudron and I'm not ever going back to shared-hosting neither for personal or professional reasons if I can avoid it !
I learned so much with cloudron now I can't stop sharing it on the fediverse, but also to entrepreneurs, startups, schools, anything that wants to reclaim their hosting power and still have a very friendly solution to handle a lot of tedious things that Cloudron turned into a huge facility to operate and for that I'm eternally grateful for Cloudron and its community !
