@joseph Thanks for the tip. My new machine has dual hard drives, so maybe I can set one to be the backup drive, then the USB RAID to be the main file system?

Migration -
Migration@joseph Ah -- didn't know that. Backups are also pointed to the raid drive.
-
Migration@joseph Yes, the RAID drive is a Cloudron Volume. At some point, I decided it was a bad idea to have all my data on the dame drive as the OS/Cloudron, so I created a Cloudron volume on my RAID drive and then for both Nexcloud and Trilium I set the data directory to be that raid volume. Cloudron moved everything to the raid drive at that point. I assume I can just attach the raid drive to my new machine and both Nextcloud and Trilium on the new machine to that drive?

MigrationHi @joseph --
Thanks for the reply. By "server volume" I was referring to my local file system (the RAID drive connected via USB) that I use for my Cloudron main data storage. It's seperate from my rootfs. It's sperated on a small RAID drive to avoid data loss in case my main hard drive dies. Is that what you're referring to as backups? Your response is hitting the exact point of my confusion, so I really appreciate it. It may just come down to a misunderstanding of terminolgy on my part

MigrationThanks @humptydumpty -- I'm only using NextCloud and Trilium at the moment. My setup is so simple, it may just be easier to pull all the files down and re-upload them to a new server with newly installed apps.

MigrationHi everyone,
I have a home cloudron server which currently has two apps. This server has two user accounts -- mine and my friends. The server volume is located on a raid drive that is connected via USB. I want to decommission the server and migrate to a more powerful machine I have. I created a backup file following these instructions:
https://docs.cloudron.io/backups/#move-cloudron-to-another-server
I was planning to continue to follow the documentation to complete the migration, but got a little nervous I'd hose something, so I'm hoping for a little clarity and reassurance before committing to the move.
Now that I have the backup file, is it just a matter of shutting down the old server, plugging the RAID drive into a USB port on the new server, installing Cloudron, and restoring Cloudron using the .json file?
I feel like there should be more to it than this, and I'm missing something. The .json file doesn't seem to have much info in it. I don't understand how it could restore both accounts, for example, since I see no info on that. Also, how will Cloudron know where to look for the volume?
I've used Cloudron for years, but have never tried a migration, and there's a lot to the documentation that doesn't seem to apply to my simple setup. Having trouble weeding out what I don't need.
Any clarity would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Jellyfin ErrorThanks for the replies. It was exactly that -- needed to whitelist the new IP in the DNS settings on name.com. The holidays kept me from really thinking this through.

Jellyfin ErrorHi Everyone --
I doubt this is specifically a Jellyfin issue, but I'll put it here anyway.
I got Jellyfin up and running a couple of days ago, and it was working great until yesterday when I installed the Open Subtitles plugin. After installing the plugin, I could no longer access Jellyfin. I uninstalled the plugin. Still no access. I rolled back to the backup from the previous day. Nothing. I restarted the server. Still nothing. This morning, I decided to uninstall Jellyfin and it wouldn't let me -- permission denied because my IP isn't on the whitelist. It was then that I noticed that my ISP changed my IP in the middle of this. They haven't changed it in years, so I never took steps to mitigate the risk of it happening. My bad. Lesson learned. Anyway, I fixed the DNS stuff, but now Jellyfin seems permanently stuck in an Error state telling me the new IP isn't whitelisted. I can't restore from backup, I can't uninstall it, nothing. Any idea how I can fix this? I'm prefer not to uninstall, but will do whatever it takes to move forward.
Thanks!

Connecting to server Guacamole is hosted onSorry -- got pulled away. Yea, that works. My OP isn't clear, though. Sorry. I'm trying to use it as a remote desktop. Only mentioned SSH because I'm trying to get ANY connection through Guacamole to the server it's hosted on to work at this point.

Connecting to server Guacamole is hosted on@girish Thanks for the response. I've tried the public IP. Using that (no https:// ) and the port number, I'm getting "Connected to Guacamole. Waiting for a response..." Feels like progress, but I'm not sure. Using SSH and not pre-filling credentials gives me an SSH-looking login prompt but hangs after I enter a username. I'll keep tinkering.

Connecting to server Guacamole is hosted onHi All --
This is very likely a stupid question, but can Guacamole be used to connect to the server I'm hosting it/Cloudron on? I can't get it working, telling me the server is unreachable. I've tried using both VNC and SSH to connect to the FQDL, and the localhost IP. No dice. What am I doing wrong?
Thanks,
Kelly

Apps Not Starting After Upgrade to 7.4.1@nebulon Gotcha -- so it would have cleared up eventually, anyway. Well, thanks again. I really appreciate your support!

Apps Not Starting After Upgrade to 7.4.1@girish Gotcha -- thanks. It appeared to be having trouble connecting to MySQL:
box:services Attempt 1 failed. Will retry: Network error waiting for mysql: connect ECONNREFUSED 172.xx.xx.xx:3000
Also had a few:
(stderr): Error: No such container: postgresql
No Idea why. I haven't changed anything on the server in a while. Restarting box seems to have fixed it, however I don't know why What does restarting box do that rebooting the server not?
Thanks so much for your help!

Apps Not Starting After Upgrade to 7.4.1@girish Yea, I can access it. What should I be looking for, exactly?

Apps Not Starting After Upgrade to 7.4.1Hi All--
Noticed my Cloudron was non-responsive. Rebooted server. Most apps are stuck on "Restarting." Restarted the server. Didn't help. All services appear to be running properly. Clicking on the gear icon for an app shows "Restarting - Waiting for Cloudron to initialize" at the top of the page. Found a solution, but it appears old and no longer accurate:
https://forum.cloudron.io/topic/4668/apps-not-starting-after-upgrade-to-6-2-4
Any ideas?
Thanks!

Awesome@jdaviescoates Oh, right on. Thanks! I didn't look closely enough at that page.

Can't Connect via LAN@girish OK, thanks. I'll look at that. My is absolute garbage in that I'm almost completely locked out of customizing anything with it. My ISP clearly wants full control. I appreciate your responsiveness!

AwesomeMan, I love Trilium. I installed it a couple of months ago, decided it was over complicated, then uninstalled it. I reinstalled two weeks ago to give it another go and I think it's brilliant now. Do any of you know if they take donations? I can't find where to do that.

Can't Connect via LAN@girish Sorry for the delay. It doesn't, unfortunately.

Can't Connect via LAN@Ropyro Was able to get it working by setting up Emby Connect. Feeling a bit like that's a workaround and not a real solution, but I'll take it.
