I guess first try to get the restore working and then it may make sense to think of some backup location which is not in the same physical location or at least not connected to the same device (some power malfunction could brick it all at once, or otherwise a software bug wiping disks unexpectedly)

Thanks for the replies. It was exactly that -- needed to whitelist the new IP in the DNS settings on name.com. The holidays kept me from really thinking this through.

Actually, guacamole just works to connect to the host:

@JPas2001 Just to clarify since this is an old thread: you have a situation where you can connect to Emby from outside your network but just not inside the LAN ?

@henry000 the problem is already fixed in 7.6. Are you on Cloudron 7.6 ?

@Ropyro That's the feature I am talking about - but either way you need to generate an app password to use file manager or "Online Accounts" for 2fa secured Nextcloud (or owncloud) accounts.

Yea, everything is working great when hitting the server from outside my network. Your hosts file suggestion is a good one and is something I've done before. I'll dig into that. I seem to remember coming across a bit more of a graceful solution that handles internal/external requests. Thanks for jogging my memory!
