Nextcloud 22 advertise as a feature the integration with EIDEasy, Docusign, LibreSign for document signing, yet only LibreSign seem to be available.

And the LibreSign nextcloud app requires installing some components manually (Java and JSignPDF) which sounds a little problematic if integrated with Cloudron. Does anyone know if this is doable. It would be great to be able to sign documents using Nextcloud.

    See details here: https://github.com/LibreSign/libresign/blob/main/README.md#setup

An alternative is to use something like SignServer but that's a whole other app to package which sounds like more work than adding the capability to nextcloud.

@avatar1024 Interested in this too, will investigate when time permits but it won't be for about a month or so.

I think it would be great to have signing in Cloudron, not just/only in Nextcloud. Not everyone uses Nextcloud, great though it is. But it's starting to become a monster of plugins, addons and extensions.

Personally I would favour a separate app, even if it is more work. Initially anyway. My bet would be Nextcloud would be quicker start, and a maintenance monster later.

Having a real hate / love relation with Cloudron...
The convenience of having all apps securely managed under one roof is simply fantastic.
That said, we installed Cloudron to eliminate time spend setting up simple, open-source applications - but many times we end up trying to find workarounds installing certain dependencies needed for 3rd party plugins from installed Cloudron apps...
I'm really hoping they'll allow a bit more control within the containers in the future..

Did guys figure out a solution to this issue yet?

Hi, I'm trying to use LibreSign installed on my Cloudron Nextcloud instance, and running into an error with signing which seems to be related to poppler-utils not being installed. I haven't been able to figure out how install it, so that it's available to LibreSign. Can someone point me in the right direction?

Not familiar with that Nextcloud plugin but after installation of it, it seems it misses quite a bunch of dependencies:

Will see how easy it is to provide those, however especially java might blow up the app package for everyone then....

I've just tested this with the Hetzner Storage Share.
                Nope.

I am sending a ticket to Hetzner to see, if and why the block this.
They might have a good reason 😏

Actually only poppler-utils was missing, the rest does work to be installed on-demand via occ. So new package incoming:

                  image.png

The UTF-8 info is, as far as I can tell, not correct. The app has UTF-8 locale set.
