Deleting Rainloop in favour of Roundcube... what happens to the filters?

Hi guys,
I will test this out this weekend but wanted to ask here too in case others have performed this same task... I am going to be removing Rainloop in favour of keeping only Roundcube. I have been hosting both for over a year now, but hope to make it just one over the weekend.
I'm curious... what happens to the filters setup in Rainloop? My gut tells me they'll be removed with the app, but has anyone done this yet who can confirm?
Part of me sort of sees the rules/filters as externalized from the app in a way (formed I think from the visualization I see in the Roundcube Rules interface where it can show you both sieve filter files), have I perhaps misunderstood where those are stored on the disk?
Will I need to essentially go in / ask users to copy or re-create their rules they had setup in Rainloop and do them again in Roundcube? Is there any way for me to sort of do this from the backend for them by any chance so they don't need to do anything?
I imagine others have made a similar move, even if in reverse, so wanted to reach out for guidance in case there are any gotchas I may be missing. The only thing I can think of is this rules/filter part that may be a hassle.

@d19dotca does Roundcube even do filters? I read somewhere that they are supposed to support them, but couldn't see anywhere to create them within Roundcube...

does Roundcube even do filters?
yes. You can find them when clicking on "more" when you have a message selected. Or by going into your settings, there is a menu item called filters.

Filters are stored with your mailbox. So they should remain. As mentioned in https://forum.cloudron.io/topic/3512/e-mail-sieve-scripts-body-option-not-available/5?_=1606984450322 you will not see your existing filters in roundcube, though.

@d19dotca I haven't used Roundcube in ages. Why did you choose it over Rainloop?

I can answer: Rainloop does not allow searching in more than one folder (!) (https://github.com/RainLoop/rainloop-webmail/issues/73) although this could be remedied by configuring Dovecot to have a virtual "all mail" folder.
Roundcube has a better handling of identities via a plugin (e.g. sending under a different address, using a different smtp server).

@humptydumpty Roundcube is also much more actively developed than Rainloop, and has a handful of useful search operators too (I wish it had more like Gmail, but at least it has some)

Awesome responses - thank you everyone for the input! Happy to hear that rules created in Rainloop shouldn't really be any issue then.
Of course I'll still do my due diligence as time permits soon before I make the change, but it's nice to know I'm likely going to be fine.And yes - I agree with the reasons stated as to why use Roundcube over Rainloop. Honestly I was a large proponent of both for so long for different use-cases, but since the latest GUI refresh in Roundcube making it much more mobile-friendly almost several months ago now... I don't feel like Rainloop has much to offer that Roundcube doesn't already do - and in most cases does better than Rainloop. However there of course is the odd thing that is nicer in Rainloop, but the pros outweigh the cons to me for dropping Rainloop and focusing on Roundcube instead.
I've offered both all this time for the different types of users I have, but hated supporting both of them - makes my own documentation that much harder to maintain for example, so I've been wanting to move for a while now to just Roundcube once it caught up in mobile-friendliness in particular, and I think I'm ready to finally pull that trigger after all this time.

It goes beyond that, I think. If I set up a filter in Rainloop and click save, all filters in Roundcube are gone - and vice versa.
Some I keen to learn if they are really "gone", or you just can't see them as @fbartels says (hopefully the latter!)
