Unavailable to access cloudron server from network where our VLAN is in.

We have our own cloudron server running here in the building where our company is located. They created a VLAN for us to be able to access the cloudron server from the outside world. But now the tables have turned and we cannot connect to the cloudron server if we are on the network from the building where our VLAN is in. Does anybody know how we can fix this problem? The server IP just cannot be reached if you are connected to the WLAN from the building where our VLAN is build in.

Sound like your 'internal' VLAN has no access to the 'external' VLAN.

To be frank, I believe this issue can only be resolved with your Admins internal.

@nevers This is a network configuration issue, not a Cloudron issue, so yes it is perfectly fixable. What your network administrators have to do is to allow routing between the internal VLAN to the IP of Cloudron. The precise way to do that depends a lot on what routing hardware you guys are using, and how it's configured. I can't really help any more

@nevers How is the DNS configured in your setup? Does Cloudron have a public IP and the cloudron apps' DNS entries have the public IP?

Reason, I ask is, when you contact Cloudron from within your network, you will need a route (or a feature like hair pinning) to make sure that you can contact an external IP from within the intranet.

Since you asked here, I guess you are trying to ask if there is something special Cloudron is doing with regards to networking. And the answer to that is that Cloudron doesn't do anything special and for all practical purposes you can treat it like an Ubuntu VM.

Thank you all for your answers! Yes i was curious if cloudron did something special with the networking. I will contact the network administrators and try to fix the issue with them.
