Backing up multiple Cloudrons to the same backup destination?
-
Is it generally safe/ OK to backup multiple different Cloudron servers to the same backup destination? Or would that somehow confuse Cloudron?
I'm guessing it likely is OK, but just wanted to double check first.

@jdaviescoates yes, it's safe. Just make sure you use a different "prefix" for both the cloudrons. Usually, I use the domain name of the Cloudron itself as the prefix.
I use prefixes and different folders.

@BrutalBirdie I just noticed that when I added a prefix (which I hadn't done so before) that in effect it added a folder so whereas before I had no prefix it was backing up to /backup now with a prefix it is backing up to /backup/prefix

Just to make it clearer
it's not safe to use the same path for different Cloudron backups! The final backup destination has to "isolated"/"separate".@girish said in Backing up multiple Cloudrons to the same backup destination?:
