I can understand they want to earn money with it. Too bad, I really hoped for an affordable solution for small non profits or hobby projects.

      From their FAQ:

Can I self host Postiz all by myself?
Definitely, we are trying to make Postiz to host as easy as possible, check our documentation to find out how

        Hi,
It looks like the package is gone from the cloudron supported apps, has anyone tried self-hosting it by following the official method as presented in their doc, with success? (https://docs.postiz.com/quickstart)

@ikalou what should we do if the package is gone from the Cloudron supported apps? Could we still update it manually?

            Hello @ikalou
One could fork the package https://git.cloudron.io/packages/postiz-app and make it a community app.
This way it would continue existing with updates, but with maintenance by the Cloudron community.

I just saw an interview with the postiz creator who describes the niche he filled and the popularity of his hosted service esp for agents, and how difficult the self hosted setup is.

His comments indicated it is possible if everything is plumbed right, so it's not just a broken app like it seems.

A bit more research and agentic help may reveal a path to working setups.

@timconsidine can you fire up the custom package and test the X connector?

It's too bad this app has been abandoned. Yet, there's a full docker install and I might have missed it or upstream might have changed their but I haven't seen a trace of a mention about the use of a "temporal server" as a requirement to run this.

Anyway, on the other hand, there's a cool work around for anyone running Hermes can run the Postiz Skill within one's Hermes instance. https://postiz.com/hermes

There also is the option to run it from a N8N Node https://www.npmjs.com/package/n8n-nodes-postiz
                      Enjoy!
