Get permissions to build projects on git.cloudron.io??

I think you should use your own git server (or a public one like GH or BitBucket)
I think this is more a question of "host your code, where your community is". Hosting on your own git instance is in so far problematic as others then only can (well if you have it publicly accessible that is) view your code, but would need an account on your server to participate (and do you really want to allow total strangers to create accounts on your system?).
When I created an account on git.cloudron.io I could just use the account creation tools of gitlab for that.
Edit: one thing that needs to be said is that there is a limit on how many repositories you can create with your user. When I got that limit in the past I cleaned up local forks, but I'd imagine that if your have a legitimate reason to extend that limit that this can surely be discussed with the Cloudron team.

@nexbit I have made many app packages for Cloudron in the past, I figured since this specific package lines up with another officially supported one (Minecraft Java server) that it might be hosted on the same git server. I'll just throw it up on github.

@murgero You are welcome to create repos on git.cloudron.io. Are you unable to create repos? Haven't disabled it, atleast consciously. For example, https://git.cloudron.io/msbt has created many custom apps.
-
@girish I get an error message when trying to create a repo - I thought maybe it was a 0 user repo limit but maybe it's an issue in the back end.
When I create a repo, I get "Invalid namespace" no matter what I name my repo's. If you need a username to troubleshoot, I believe it's just "murgero" like on here.

@nebulon i have the same probleme, unable to create or fork repos with my account 'https://git.cloudron.io/TheNils'.
my account is not the same as my cloudron's forum account because i've lost the phone with the 2fa app for this account (don't know if it's the cause...) -
@nebulon & @girish - I created an account recently too on git.cloudron.io but cannot fork the docs. I wanted to make a fork to be able to contribute changes / improvements to your documentation, but am not able to fork anything as I also seem to have a project limit of 0. My username is d19dotca on your git.cloudron.io server.
