@jdaviescoates I very much like this client - but can it do IRC bouncing?

Seems like the reasonable thing to do is look for an IRC client able of persistent connections, like IRCcloud. From what I reckon Kiwi IRC is just a bunch of static files so it can be served from anywhere and doesn’t really need a server like Cloudron to work.

Personally I use a Matrix server with an IRC bridge to achieve bouncer-like persistant connectivity but some people may not like that. πŸ€“

@jdaviescoates How does Kiwi compare to the lounge? The latter is already available on Clourdon at https://cloudron.io/store/io.github.thelounge.html.

@fbartels not sure, will have a play with lounge... Just noticed lots of people seem to use kiwi so figure it likely fits Cloudron goal of having to 3 apps in each category available πŸ˜ƒ

@girish Luckily - Lounge acts as a bouncer and even remains connected to IRC servers while you are offline.

I've finally got around to playing around with The Lounge and I actually much prefer it to Kiwi IRC! πŸ˜„

It seems really fast and responsive and I love how it stays connected.
