Sogo doesn't sync with macOS 10.15.4 Calendar
-
I installed SoGo at https://cal.mydomain.tld
The link to my calendar, as shown in SoGo, is https://cal.mydomain.com/SOGo/dav/USER/Calendar/personal/I was able to connect to this calendar via macOS "Internet Accounts" using "Extended" account type and "cal.mydomain.com" as the server and "/SOGo/dav/USER/Calendar/personal/" as server path.
However, Calendar complains that for this calendar no "calendar location" has been specified:

@necrevistonnezr No problems with latest Mac OS and iOS on my side with SoGo, using Manual instead of Extended CalDAV and CardDAV setup and just using subdomain.domain.de as the server, mail address as user. Have you tried autoconfig of the server path by using Manual instead of Extended setup?
-
@NCKNE Ha, thanks! Indeed, after just specifying https://cal.mydomain.com in manual setup, it works! Thanks
@girish SoGo does not support app passwords... correct?
-
@necrevistonnezr For SOGo, use 'email' in the app password dropdown.

I am having a similar issue, trying different URLs to sync calendar and contacts on a mac. None is working.
First of all I have a question regarding the server address: Should I use the cloudron address, sogo address or the mailserver address (in my case not my.domain.tld but mail.domain.tld)? -
@stantropics you have to use the SOGo address. I think the address is shown inside SOGo.
-
@girish I don't want to hijack this thread as I am using macOS 13.0.1 but I am having issues trying any of the mentioned URLs. I am getting an error 400 from the calendar app. However, I can see the connection from the client in the SoGo logs.
-
@stantropics I don't have a Mac to test but to help you debug further. I would check if it works in the upstream demo first - https://www.sogo.nu/ (at the bottom there is demo link and credentials). Then, I found a (bizzare) suggestion in https://bugs.sogo.nu/view.php?id=5639 that renaming calendar to start with a capital letter makes it work. (personal -> Personal)
-
@girish Looks like I cannot test it in the demo environment - it won't let me setup the calendar.
The issue I am having now is that the Apple calendar creates another calendar instead of syncing the existing personal calendar. It seems to work for other calendars in the account.Any mac user here who can share their config?
