@loudlemur +1 One of the biggest issues with centralised/hosted storage is how it facilitates censorship. And conversely how decentralised systems make censorship a lot harder to achieve.

@paridata There is a module integrated into Odoo Community Edition and also Flectra, which handles vacations. It is/was called "Leaves" or "Time Off". The name changes with editions. This one is quite easy to install and run. Some notes: Really needs node 10. Doesn't work with node 16. Many node modules are outdated and they need to be updated. The app is essentially the website - spacedeck.com To even register on the selfhosted instance, you have to provide the invite token . This is available in the config file. @loudlemur Well there's no one size fits all solution. It's always about choice.

Looks quite easy to install though. Have you tried the app on a VPS or something? It looks like it can be installed on a local machine as well.

@hollosch This looks pretty cool. It also appears to be able to be hosted on the LAMP app on Cloudron, so no need to "wait" for it to be available. It also works in tandem with Frab and Pretalx, both of which look easy to install and run on another VPS. I'm gonna give it a whirl. EDIT: I may have spoken too soon. I don't know if Cloudron's LAMP includes all the required modules: dom json mbstring PDO mysql tokenizer xml/libxml/SimpleXML xmlwriter
