From what I've found, the only way to self host is through their custom ISO.
3CX created a Debian Linux ISO to make installation faster and management easier. You must dedicate your Debian Linux instance to 3CX.

@girish, Another use case is for those, like me, who spend days on a fully locked down and logged office computer. It would be nice to be able to occasionally circumvent that for browsing without tracking fear.
