What's coming in 7.4

@humptydumpty the initial regression thread is at https://forum.cloudron.io/topic/8913/email-is-not-configured-properly-since-update-to-cloudron-7-4-0/2

With Auto updates on, I was force updated to 7.4.0
Can you please disable that functionality?
Unstable updates should not occur without manual involvement.
I should not have to choose between installing an unstable update or manually update all my cloudron apps, that list is quite high at this point.

On a similar note, after the update, VaultWarden showed a pre-release update was available for installation. I think I am going to have that green up-arrow there till a stable release happens.
Perhaps we could have a two tone up arrow system, where neon green was for unstable releases and green for ordinary releases. We could toggle notifications for a permutation of these.

@LoudLemur Yes, for vaultwarden, there seems to be some issue which is causing MySQL to crash. So, we have pushed a pre-release for those who are willing to test it. See https://forum.cloudron.io/topic/8895/mysql-not-responding-with-vaultwarden-installed

It seems that the time display was changed in Backups & Email Log. Screenshots below. Can we please have this either be 24 hour time again or else at least add AM/PM if meant to be 12-hour format? It's confusing at a glance since it's missing AM/PM tags it is presumed to be 24-hour but that's incorrect.

(mail) Virtual all directory in dovecot for search
Did this make it into 7.4? If so, how do we take advantage of it?
And as @artd2019 just asked, can we us use Solr in SnappyMail? (and what about the SnappyMail Nextcloud app too?)

@d19dotca see https://forum.cloudron.io/topic/8967/time-in-logs-in-12h-format-now-since-update-to-7-4/
Funny I had thought I saw a post but couldn’t find it earlier before I made that comment. Thanks for linking it, that’s the one I was looking for earlier.
Yes it seems this was fixed with 7.4.1 thankfully.

OpenVPN/Wireguard integration
Can someone give some detail about what this integration will mean? E.g. if OVPN/WG integration is used, that means access to services will only be available via it?
Or something else?

@ei8fdb This is not implemented yet. I think we will push the rest of the features to 7.5 since 7.4 with just db upgrades is quite a lot .
Hi @girish, OK. I'm just curious what this functionality will be. I'm less asking about the when it'll be be released and more in what it will be.
(I mean I am interested in when of course, but I don't know exactly what actually is yet!)

@girish Any chance there is a bug in 7.4.1 that does what is posted here: https://forum.cloudron.io/topic/9036/apps-title-tr-cannot-access-cloudron-appstore
We have not been able to use our Cloudron since the update and even after a fresh install with attempting to restore, nothing, then trying full fresh install, notihng. It's like we don't have access to the AppStore at all.

Presumably you've already tried what @nebulon suggested there? i.e. try in a clean vanilla browser with no plugin/ extensions installed (I have a copy of Chrome that I only have for such purposes).

@jdaviescoates Thanks for the heads up. Yes, I have turned off everything. Still testing different browsers though and different NextDNS setups. What is odd is that this was never an issue at all until 7.4.1 and nothing has changed on my end.

Ideally, we can do this on a per app level. This way sensitive apps can be firewalled off the internet entirely .
That's very helpful. I've got a few apps I'd like to restrict access to reaching. Thanks for the detail @girish
