      Similar to this issue: https://forum.cloudron.io/topic/7552/disk-is-suddenly-full-on-1tb-drive-can-t-access-cloudron

I have experienced a full disk lockout today.

      I have tried:

      • increasing disk size
      • restarting server
      • following steps here https://docs.cloudron.io/troubleshooting/#recovery-after-disk-full

      Any help is greatly appreciated.

@vjvanjungg Once you increase the disk size, you need to actually increase the partition size too.

        This post may help:

Would you suggest going to the files (I’m using sthg like WinSCP) and deleting some unused apps?

@vjvanjungg I'd recommend increasing the partition of the disk you increased the size of. Most VPS providers do not do this automatically as far as I know. Ubuntu certainly doesn't do this automatically if you are self-hosting.

If you can clear some data that may be helpful, but manually deleting apps will NOT work as it will break the daemons.

@murgero Would it be helpful to delete older backups? Most likely the Backups are the cause of the full disk. Otherwise, it could be media files taking up the space, in which case knowing how to enter a given Docker image to delete a few movies or audio files should shrink the Docker image size, no?

Since, it seems, most full disk issues are caused by Backups, a more pertinent Cloudron alert could be related to notifying users that they are still using local storage for their backup and to consider another backup destination. Possibly even as regular as weekly pop-up notifications in the Cloudron Dashboard.

Would this also be an opportunity for Cloudron to partner with some cloud storage companies, giving a discount if, after clicking on a "Still using Local storage? Consider one of these offers to ensure your Cloudron disk does not fill up! A. B. C. D" message?

Hello guys, everything is back online (thanks to Cloudron’s out-of-this-world backup feature).

I am grateful for all your help.
