I have a Linode server running Cloudron (which is running a Matrix/Synapse server and Element client), however my free credit has run out.

I still have around $70 of DigitalOcean credit left, so I'd like to transfer my Cloudron installation (and the apps and app data included) to Digital Ocean, from Linode.

Could anyone point me in the right direction on how to do this? Guides, tutorials, simple explanations and instructions etc.

I also would like to know if this transfer is possible without data loss of my Cloudron apps.

@scooke Nope, currently running it on a VPS, sorry if I wasn't clear! I'm planning on migrating it to a PI if possible

How can I migrate my matrix.org and Element apps on Cloudron to a different host (Raspberry Pi) without losing data such as my users?

@necrevistonnezr I already viewed that post, but I don't understand it - are there any download links or instructions?

Title pretty much says it all. Does cloudron support installation on a raspberry pi?

@nebulon hey there, thanks for your reply, cloudron works now for me. maybe it was a dns propagation issue

@hustler Update: DNS error no longer present, however it still says "Offline, reconnecting". I already added th IP to the /etc/hosts file

Recently I've been having trouble with matrix and element, it saying that the homeserver could not found. Now, after switching dns providers to linode, i can't even access cloudron, it says "offline, reconnecting". I updated the DNS record on linode shortly after, and then it shows a "server not found" warning.

@subven Hi again, I've found out that i needed to contact Linode to get port 25 unblocked. I've done so, however there's another error showing up that says there's a problem with the PTR record - which i don't see an option to configure on my DNS provider

@subven Hi there, thanks for your help! Sorry for the limited info, i'm not very experienced with this. As far as I can see, port 25 is blocked, how would I go aboust unblocking it? Thanks

Upon registration for my matrix client, users can enter in an email for verification. however, when a confirmation email is sent, the email is not received by the user. how can i fix this?

@girish how would i edit /etc/hosts on mac, sorry? I tried editing the file in finder, however it returned "You don't have permission to edit this file"

@girish thank you so much! I'll let you know if I have any issues. I honestly expected to wait DAYS for a response, but cloudron is really fast

I'm a student with a strong interest in software engineering, and cloudron is really interesting. however, i plan to use more than 2 apps but the paid subscription is really expensive for me.

any student discounts or non-commercial use licensing available?

My domain, https://perthmod.com as well as the dashboard https://my.perthmod.com frequently has issues with connecting - it either shows the message "DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN" or loads forever and times out. I've restarted my device, tried different browsers and devices, and nothing seems to work. Sometimes, it works, sometimes it doesn't - I could only access it on a VPN on my own home network, I don't live in a country with censorship btw.

Please help! Thank you.
