    Yes that is handled by app package updates. We usually stay as close to what the upstream app recommends. Through the containerization, we can have different php (and other languages/framework/library) versions on the same system, depending on the individual app. This also means if you find a package using a wrong or by now outdated version, please let us know in that app section in the forum and we will see if and how to update those accordingly.

    @joseph I did not. I will try restoring from backup to make a copy. In the meantime I have created a cifs share on a windows machine, added it as a volume in cloudron, attached that volume to the failed nextcloud instance, rsynced all the data out of it over to the cifs share, and added that file share to all the users computers. I have been trying to get off using windows for our file shares for a few years and we had cutover to nextcloud on cloudron about a month ago. The nextcloud client update process has been a consistent pain point across all users, in one instance losing the ability to sync properly requiring it to be uninstalled and reinstalled to get the files to sync even though the client said they were already in sync, silent un perceptible to the user failure that resulted in them using files they thought were up to date but were older versions. Now with the entire instance going offline when there was no software update and the only app we had installed in the instance was onlyoffice it is making me question if this is reliable enough to depend on. I have setup another nextcloud instance without only office and just leaving everything complete vanilla and am working on figuring out how to move the files over and then get users's connected to the new instance. I am not super particular about what tool we use but I really want to get rid of company wide file shares. We need to have paths that windows programs can save files into and read them from easily, all the paths are shared with everyone in the company. Really wish cloudron just had Samba as an app or something like that so we could use shared storage across the company. Looking around it looks like there are large production deployments of nextcloud so it should be the right tool for our use case. I don't see other's having issues like this running it on cloudron so maybe this is a one off and isolated just something in our environment.

    The cron job is automatically enabled in Cloudron. No need to do anything here. You can run it manually from the button on the top of the webterminal into the app. Given that you see a warning, maybe it has not yet run or if you run it manually you should see any potentional errors it may be blocked by.

    Hi everyone i experienced the same problem but with an exiting background: On a Cloudron that was spinned up at Feb 2021 NextCloud talk Calls from outside the local network doesn't work: Not connecting calls. We just spinned up another Cloudron for another Team with the same configuration and the Nextcloud Talk Calls ran out of the box! I don't want to attach another Service/Backend and i also don't want to "customize" the Firewall settings, but i would love to have a running NextCloud talk System on the older Cloudron too. Maybe the Cloudron installation script changed in the last years so that it works now but not before..!? Does it make sense or does anyone have an idea how to apply the same settings to the old cloudron? I could maybe provide some infos of both instances. Maybe comparing the iptables settings would make sense?! I'm not a server-expert so a little help here would be much appreciated! Thanks!

I meant I would rather not roll back to a lower minor release within the same major release (i.e. from 29.0.8 to 29.0.6)

    @marcusquinn Hmmm, I still have Cloudflare proxy enabled on that subdomain, but the problem mysteriously fixed itself. Only other things I can think of were that I probably rebooted the entire server at some point, and my computer. Perhaps something needed a reboot ‍️ Maybe see if the issue comes back with Cloudflare Proxy re-enabled @contactlight11 ?

    I was revisiting this issue and then remembered that CR 9.0 will have multiple destination backups, so I should be able to have NC back up to an attached drive locally instead of trying to upload hundreds of GB's to an s3 bucket.

There is user and group quota (https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Disk_quota) but we have to investigate if we can make this work with containers reliably.

    Per https://help.nextcloud.com/t/dnspinmiddleware-php-error-in-the-log/197545 , maybe the DNS error can be ignored. The issue seems to be that connection to LDAP server is lost though. Can you check if box code is repeatedly crashing ? Can you check for errors in /home/yellowtent/platformdata/logs/box.log ?
