Go for the grand-slam and list the licence and a screenshot too! @Supaiku I think if you are creating an App Wishlist thread, you should briefly summarize what the application does. Also, indicating what the Licence is and whether or not there is a Docker is helpful, too. Adding a screenshot makes it more likely that people will consider your request and want to support it.

@jdaviescoates said in Meetsy - an online booking system: looks like it only works with a Google login and Google Calendars, The Github has some requests for Free alternatives, so it might be worth checking back with the project later.

Let me pile in too. Sounds very useful. Would be lovely if we managed to support XMPP on Cloudron with it. How is that XMPP app request going? https://forum.cloudron.io/topic/2486/ejabberd-robust-scalable-and-extensible-realtime-server-using-xmpp-mqtt-and-sip

The standard way for integrating/embedding draw.io is described in https://www.drawio.com/blog/embedding-walkthrough. It's a protocol via postMessage for load/save. You'd have whatever storage interface there is for cloudron (sorry, I'm not familiar with it) and add a create diagram button. The self-hosted draw.io is shown in an iFrame and saves go back to the parent to store somewhere. That's how pretty much all the integrations works, nextcloud, gitlab, etc.

Gramps is good. A while back I remember reading that there were even better more modern tools available. I can't remember which one though. This is AI Claude: Here are some of the best modern free and open source genealogy software alternatives to Gramps: Webtrees - A popular web-based genealogy application built with PHP and MySQL. It has features for managing family trees, timelines, reports, and more. Actively developed. Ancestris - A cross-platform desktop app written in Java. Allows building and analyzing complex family trees. Supports GEDCOM files. Customizable reports and statistics. GeneWeb - An open source web-based and desktop genealogy software written in OCaml. Feature-rich with collaborative trees, relationship graphs, custom events, and version control. Family Tree Builder - A Python-based genealogy program focused on ease of use. Integrates with online databases and has tools for DNA comparison. Light-weight. Nextcloud Genealogy - A genealogy app that integrates with the Nextcloud platform. Manages contacts, family trees, timelines, etc. Web-based, self-hosted option. Lifelines - A cross-platform desktop app written in Python. Clean interface, lets you record family history information and generate reports. Light-weight. TreeLine - Another Python-based genealogy app for Linux. Emphasizes data organization and reporting. Overall, Webtrees, Ancestris, and GeneWeb seem to be among the most full-featured, actively maintained open source Gramps alternatives. The choice depends on your priorities like web vs desktop, DNA integration, etc.

@jeau It's not that your usage is of interest, it's so that others not in your field can be inspired to use it for things that they themselves can relate to. Does your description allow them to do that? It doesn't for me.. So what data, how's it's gathered, what it looks like as a real world example, the problem of not using the tools and the benefit are all relevant. Hence 'use case' to use another term. Can someone use it for their lemonade stand? Temp sensor? Door entry logs? Pet collar data? Pedometer? Make it personal ;]

There are plenty of use cases for Code-Server without DooD/DinD. yes, currently used for multiple user instances on cloudron, mostly foam, some thunder, etc As for the dev part, i solved it with hack mounting a custom external /nix into the required instances + https://devenv.sh/ nix is generally a cool architectural option for cloudron to look into imho and would love to help qualify such/the opportunity.
