I have just updated to the latest version of LS and it seems to be OK.
Thank you very much for your help. I have learnt how to use backups 🙂 and my takeaway is that it would be better to update manually (and backup first).

Never mind it seems their login form has a shorter text limit than LimeSurveys maximum character limit. For some reason they decided to have a character limit on the form and not the password requirements. 10/10 good software 😄👌
hm.. I can also not reproduce it. Yes, that login url I did get as well, but when then forwarded to the logged in view (the one with index.php?r=admin) it did fail before.
